The Ox40 ligand, Ox40L (also designated gp34), is a type II membrane protein, due to the absence of a signal peptide. Ox40L, a member of the tumor necrosis factor (TNF) superfamily, is a costimulatory molecule involved in dendritic cell:T cell interactions, T cell homing and B cell activation. Engagement of Ox40L with its receptor, Ox40, delivers a strong costimulatory signal to effector T cells. Ox40L is found preferentially on activated B cells and its receptor, Ox40, is a member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor (TNFR) family that is expressed on activated T cells. Ox40L plays a critical role in antigen-specific T cell responses in vivo and in both the priming and effector phases of T cell activation when expressed on antigen-presenting cells (APCs). Product :

Blocking peptides are peptides that bind specifically to the target antibody and block antibody binding. These peptide usually contains the epitope recognized by the antibody. Antibodies bound to the blocking peptide no longer bind to the epitope on the target protein. This mechanism is useful when non-specific binding is an issue, for example, in Western blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). By comparing the staining from the blocked antibody versus the antibody alone, one can see which staining is specific; Specific binding will be absent from the western blot or IHC performed with the neutralized antibody.Formula:
