Product Name :
MASTL (P833) Peptide Applications :
Blocking Background :
MASTL (microtubule associated serine/threonine kinase-like), also known as GW, THC2 or serine/threonine-protein kinase greatwall, is an 879 amino acid serine/threonine kinase regulates mitosis entry and maintenance. Localizing to cytoplasm, nucleus and cytoskeleton, MASTL belongs to the AGC Ser/Thr protein kinase family and protein kinase superfamily. MASTL undergoes alternative splicing events to produce three isoforms and is phosphorylated post-translationally by Cdc2 p34. The gene encoding MASTL maps to human chromosome 10, which comprises approximately 4.5% of total DNA in cells and encodes nearly 1,200 genes. Defects in some of the genes that map to chromosome 10 are associated with Charcot-Marie Tooth disease, Jackson-Weiss syndrome, Usher syndrome, nonsyndromatic deafness, Wolman’s syndrome, Cowden syndrome, multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 and porphyria. Alternative Name :
GW; GWL; GWL; hGWL; MAST-L; Mastl; MGC117975; microtubule associated serine/threonine kinase like; Microtubule-associated serine/threonine-protein kinase-like; THC2; Swiss-Prot :
